The Clubhouse
The clubhouse will be located in the middle of the course, in the area now occupied by the property's farmhouse. The traditional appearance of the clubhouse, in the true Virginia sense, will accentuate the southern charm of the facility. The clubhouse and accompanying structures were designed by the developer with aid from noted area designer, the late Ed Lloyd, of C&D Design Services of Lynchburg, Virginia.
[Note: For nearly 2 years, Mr. Lloyd had helped to shape the concept of Briery Creek's clubhouse and other adjoining facilities from rough drawings to soon to be reality. His excitement and enthusiasm for our project, unflappable wit, sage advice and friendship will be truly missed.]
The golf shop, restaurant and public areas will occupy approximately 6,000 square feet on the main level, while the men's and women's locker facilities will occupy 3,000 square feet in the lower level. Ample meeting and banquet facilities will be located in The Clarion Grill and also in the lower level. Club offices will be located on the second level of the clubhouse.

If you are looking for the latest in equipment and golf fashions, at the area's best prices, look no further than The Golf Shop at Briery Creek. Our 800 sq. ft. golf shop will be stocked with all your favorites from Titelist, Ping, Callaway, Foot Joy, Ashworth, Cutter & Buck and Nike - just to name a few.
The Clarion Grill and Mac Mulligan's Pub
The Clarion Grill will be a stand alone, destination restaurant featuring Mac Mulligan's Publik House. Unique in its setting and ambiance, The Clarion Grill and Mac Mulligan's Pub will be a vortex of activity for members and non-members alike. Dining for three meals daily will be offered. Lively, after either a regular or tournament round, The Clarion Grill and Mac Mulligan's Pub will offer libations and local culinary favorites - from mouth watering steaks to our own Jambalaya.
The Clarion Grill will also be able to host business and social events - accommodating groups of up to 144 people. At its busiest, The Clarion Grill will be host to over 200 guests.
The 1,500 square foot covered deck and patio area will entice patrons to enjoy a Southern Virginia sunset or to watch golfers test their skills as they battle the perils of Briery Creek’s exciting 18th hole. Others will be drawn to engage in conversation by the Grill's see-through fireplace. On selected nights, some of the best local and regional talent will be the featured entertainment in Mac Mulligan's. The Clarion Grill, honoring the community's given railroad name, will be poised to become one of the area's favorite meeting and dining spots.
Other Amenities
Clubhouse area plans also include a 4,000+ square foot complex, which resembles a carriage house, that will house member bag storage and function as our caddie shack. An outdoor pavilion for hosting larger groups and tournaments will be located at the rear of this building.
A pool area adjacent to the clubhouse, complete with cabana and snack bar will offer outstanding views of the 10th and 18th holes. The snack bar will also serve golfers as they continue their round to the back nine of the golf course.
